Ted's career has included many freelance productions in Britain
and abroad, these include the Off-Broadway production of
LOOK BACK IN ANGER with Malcolm McDowell (Roundabout Theatre), THE
ASTRONOMER'S GARDEN by Kevin Hood
(Warehouse and Royal Court Theatre), PLAYING SINATRA
by Bernard Kops (Warehouse and Greenwich Theatre)
and SUGAR HILL BLUES by Kevin Hood (Warehouse
and Hampstead Theatre).
He returned to his homeland for five years where he was
the director of the Drama Theatre at the Sydney Opera House; his productions included THE TEMPEST, LOVE FOR LOVE, THE MISANTHROPE, HAY FEVER, and Feydeau's THE LADY FROM MAXIM'S. the director of the Drama Theatre at the Sydney Opera House; his productions included THE TEMPEST, LOVE FOR LOVE, THE MISANTHROPE, HAY FEVER, and Feydeau's THE LADY FROM MAXIM'S.
As assistant to Lindsay Anderson he also spent a year working
on the feature film BRITANNIA HOSPITAL.
Ted was the Artistic Director and Chief Executive of the Warehouse Theatre in Croydon until 2012 when the building was declared unsafe and had to be demolished. Ted commissioned the hugely successful DICK BARTON series
for the Warehouse Theatre and directed each one of the nine
episodes produced so far which played on tour throughout the UK,
and also played Nottingham Playhouse, Greenwich Theatre
and The Swan Stratford-Upon-Avon.
